Album : Huqa Pani
Artist : Ali Zafar

It seems that for some unapparent reason there seems to be an abundance of Alis in the Pakistani music industry. At one time it was Mohammad Ali Sheiki, then came Ali Haider and we even saw the rise of Ali Azmat of Junoon, just to name a few of them. The latest Ali who has become the talk of the town is the young and talented Ali Zafar.
He came, made a niche, dominated and conquered the ears of not hundreds, but hundred thousands already. And all this in a matter of months. He left behind popular names like Ali haider, Jawad Ahmed and Abrar, and sold over one hundred and eighty thousand records in the first two weeks of release of his debut album "Huqa Pani".
The track listing for "Huqa Pani" By Ali Zafar is as follows :-
Note: Tracks below are compressed to 20kbps to reduce download time, CD quality would be much better.
Now that number maybe nothing extra ordinary by international standards, but Pakistan has not seen a sale record this high in years for sure.
It reminds one of the days when Ali Haider released his Qarar or Junoon's Talash. With the amount of so called pop singers/musicians we have these days it would be only fair to say that Ali Zafar has passed all expectations and proved himself as a household name among every teenager today. The title song of the album "Huqa Pani" is different and has catchy lyrics topped off with catchy tunes. Undoubtedly its a good song but yet did not come out to be the most favorite one. According to the charts "Channo" is on the top everywhere and definitely making waves among all the Channos in town. Lately our music listeners had no choice but listen to the most common type of music our country has been producing, that is rock, and Ali Zafar has definitely changed that trend for the time being. Tracks like "Rangeen", "Ishq", "Din Doobey" are fast paced dance numbers and you just cant help but get your groove on. Had there been clubs in Pakistan, these songs would have already been part of the club scene.
So what is it that makes Ali Zafar so distinct than all other bandwagon singers? The only answer one can think of is creativity with talent. Its not just the music that makes his songs so different and melodious for the listeners, but he also has an extremely good voice that only proves that he is well trained and well suited for being a good singer. Whether his good singing skills are hereditary, they come from some sort of training or hes just born to sing? Only he knows the answer to that.
Success is so much within his reach that not only he released a hit album, but he already sung a song for a recent movie 'SHARARAT'. Eventhough the movie was yet another flop for our film industry, the song was highly appreciated throughout Lollywood. Ali proves his excellent command over his vocals in "Teri Yad Ayi" and "Aik Pal". As a matter of fact after listening to "Teri Yad Ayi" I find really hard to believe that he waited this long to enter the industry.
The singer touches some very high notes in this song and balances them with full expertise, so let the musicians of the yester years say that the new era hasnt Produced any good singers who can actually sing. Here we have Ali Zafar who not only makes good music but makes the music his own! This is proved by looking at the sales figures from the record companies. Even Paris Hilton's video took more than two weeks to auction out on Ebay
